Correction of text due to mistake in used sheme 
which was used for diagnosis:
Defect on differential reader od pressure - Short-circuit on diferential
sensor over the DPF filter.

Not actual text ( thanks to mistake in scheme):
Not repaired, because customer wanted to have repair done by authorised service so that they can refit safety bolts on ECU cover.
Unfortunately we did not have the posibilyty to localized the defect, or to try to repair the ECU.
Comment: If customer had not wish car back, we would chose to examine the unit for eventual humidity or for cold conection and we would try to conect the diferential switch of presure with good frame. That was the only thing, that maters to the unit, that it has no info about the proportion of presure on the particular filter.
Thare was no attempt to save customer money for a new unit.
But this is just the estimation because there is no result with proof about the real defect.

Way to connect and localized the defect (4065/2)

Acctual text after correction ( found mistake in scheme)
On diferencial switch of presure (A) connected channels 1(reference),
2(frame) and 3 (signal),
on the other distribution frame T14b (B) connected channel 4 from side
from engine control unit ( signal ).

Data record of the test: Before turning ignition on the distribution
frame T14 was disconnected, data recording turn on, ignition than on and
after that distribution frame T14b (B) connected.



In point 4 insted 0,5V ( signal ) appear not known referential voltage 5V ( see data
record )

Data record from test - connection of distribution frame. (4065/3)

In point 4 instead 0,5V ( signal ) appear referential voltage ( see record )
On diferential reader of presre ( A ) conected channels 1 ( red = reference ), 2 ( yellow = frame ), and 3 ( green =signal ), on other distribution frame T14b (B) conneccted channel 4 (blue =signal)
Record about test:
 Before turning ignition on the distribution frame T14 was disconnected, data recording turn on, ignition than on and after that distribution frame T14b (B) connected(OFF>ON)

Comment: If there was no mistake in schema, then it would be enough to do the test on the distribution frame of reader itself and the failure will be discovered immediately.

 On the frame channel from ECU ( 4 = blue ) insted 0,5V appear right after switching on ignition referential voltage from ECU. (  attention in not loaded status the referential voltage is higher then we are used to - here for example 5,483V ) which decrease  after loading by sensor to 5V.

Comment: It was nat necessary to do a measurement. I have done it due to mistake in schema, which leads to result that the defect is on ECU. It is just a confirmation, that is usefull to check info from more sources, because mistakes are frequent. Test by " connection of distribution frame" could be done on 3 pin distribution frame of reader of pressure.


Four channels are the absolute minimum (4065/7)

For localization of defect is needet minimaly four channels. More is better. It saves time and measuring on more places tells more than just 4 or 2 measurment alone ..

Thanks to retroactively found mistake in schema, used for localization of defect, result of this case was changed . The result is, that there is a voltage in reader of diferential pressure, not a unknown voltage from frame lead of this reader.
Principal of this is wrongly placed description of pins on distribution frame of reader ( even Workshop VIVID shows diferent occupation of pins - checked with original schema VW).
I am sorry for the mistake and oferring compensation to our customer for the wrong analysis. VIVID is not responsible for mistakes in datas nor for cost connected with them.
